French Drains Northwest Arkansas
French Drains
French Drains are a type of drainage system that collects water on the top of the ground and
sub-surface water. Generally they are used around the foundations of homes or businesses to
prevent water from going under the building. Another typical use would be for areas that stay wet
for days after it has rained. Depending on your specific circumstances there are several other
types of drainage solutions that may work as well or even better than a french drain. Several
options might be gutter downspout drains, sump pumps or regrading land.
Water Drainage Is Important
One of the most important concerns for your home or business is proper drainage. Too much water on your lawn or plant bed
can be just as damaging to the plants, turf, and your property as a lack of water. Shifting foundations, molds and fungi, and
breeding insects are all issues that result from drainage issues that need to be addressed before they become major issues. We
create solutions for these drainage issues in a variety of ways.
Gutter Downspout Drains
We install gutter downspout drains below your gutter to collect the water coming out of your
gutter and move it away from your home or business.
Sump Pumps
Sump pumps are pumps designed to move water when its not possible to use gravity to move the
water away from a low lying area. This prevents flooding, water damage, mold growth and helps
prevent mosquitos.
Regrading Land
Its often possible to regrade the land around your home or business to help move water away by creating a downhill avenue
for the water to flow instead of staying near your building. Regrading land is an effective way to prevent water damage to
your building.
